La Séance

Set in a historic Hollywood Hills castle during the 2023 Halloween season, La Séance was a dark, 1930s-inspired immersive mystery that blended black magic with avant-garde physical theater. As co-creator and director, Angela Fegers drew upon her classical and modern contemporary dance training to weave heightened movement sequences into the narrative, where performers entered trance-like states to physically manifest cryptic clues and hidden motives. She designed the experience’s flow so that these abstract, sensory "hints" challenged the audience—costumed and assigned unique character identities—to observe and decode the world around them as they navigated a live murder mystery. Beyond the script and choreography, Fegers oversaw the project’s end-to-end brand development and social media strategy, ensuring a seamless transition from digital marketing to physical, long-duration immersion.
